GIVEAWAY MONDAY
*** and the winner is comment #5 - Abby! ****
Another monday with goodies to share with the kids. Today I'm giving away a DVD copy of 3,2,1 Penguins! - Save the Planets. This family-friendly series was produced by Big Idea, the creators of Veggie Tales and airs every week on NBC and Telemundo.
To enter to win, leave me a comment about what lesson you would like the recipient of this DVD to learn. Give me the scoop in your comments and I will pick the winner at random on Monday, October 27. Don't forget to include an email address or a link to a blog with an identifiable email. For extra chances to win, link to this contest on your blog or subscribe to my feed (if you're already a subscriber, just leave that in a comment - being a subscriber gets you an extra chance too!). Contest limited to US residents.
We weren't familiar with 3,2,1 Penguins! before receiving a copy of this DVD, but I thought the kids, especially Jack, would enjoy it. He's always drawn to space adventures. These penguins live on a space shuttle with two children (who both wear glasses much to Bella's delight) and have hilarious adventures with other animals. Each episode teaches a moral like don't be jealous (the Green Eyed Monster), don't be a glutton (More is More), and the importance of sharing (Give and Let Give). The message was effective - a few hours after watching it Jack started chanting "More is more!" to Bella when she asked for a fourth chocolate chip cookie. After four days at home (school holiday last week), the kids are still requesting the Penguins every day for quiet time.Click here to watch the trailer.
There's still plenty of time to enter these other giveaways hosted by me and my friends:
- Once Upon a Potty Anniversary edition - hosted over at my review blog - has only 3 entries so far!
- Tigger and Pooh Hundred Acre Haunted Woods DVD Giveaway
- Best of Bette Midler CD Giveaway
- An Ordinary Life is giving away a Sweet Petal Cottage worth $200

My daughter sooo needs to learn to share, recently she has decided to rip all the toys out of her brother's hands and then throw them across the room so he can't play with them. Ugg! This show looks cute!

They are all important lessons. I like the one about sharing the best.
I think any lesson learned is good. I'd like my nieces/nephews to share more, have better attitudes and appreciate the world we live in!
Sharing is something that all little ones seem to have trouble learning...so that would be what I would want my little ones to gain! (of course the others wouldn't hurt!!)

We love 3-2-1 Penguins. It comes on every Saturday, just before VeggieTales.
I think my daughter needs to learn patience (but who doesn't?) and the boy needs to learn it all!
I've got my work cut out with that one.
My daughter is a bit of a glutton and needs to learn that less is more.

The sharing part would be the best for our two right now -- it's a work in progress over here! Our son loves 3-2-1 Penguins -- he'd love this new title!
Thanks!

We love Veggie Tales, and the couple of episodes of 3-2-1 my girls have caught on Saturday mornings they have loved as well. I'd like them to learn the importance of sharing. They know they're supposed to, but not always why.
Thanks!
The importance of not being jealous, don't be a glutton and the importance of sharing. All are important life lessons that need to be learned at a very early age.

Definately about sharing! My son Gabriel (20 months old) he does a good job sharing but we have a lil' sister (1 month old) and I want him to continue to learn to share when she starts wanting to play!
