I'm an avid reader and committed to making my kids love reading as much as I do. Although I know the importance of reading aloud with my kids to share the wonderful classics that I grew up with, life sometimes gets in the way of our bedtime stories. Dinner runs late, or tubs get chaotic, and suddenly we have to choose between storytime or going to bed on time.

Leapfrog is launching the Million Hours Reading Pledge this month in conjunction with the NEA's National Reading Month to help us all make the effort to read together everyday. When you sign up at the Leapfrog website, you'll commit to reading for 10, 20, or 30 minutes with your children everyday this month. Once you make your pledge, Leapfrog will reward you with special coupons. Just ten minutes a day for a month adds up to many hours of reading.

As an extra incentive for signing up, Leapfrog is also offering up a Tag Reading system for giveaway to one Chefdruck Musings reader. One lucky winner will receive a Tag reader + 5 books (an assortment of new plus available titles) for personal use. In addition to your personal Tag reading system, you'll also receive an expanded-memory LeapFrog School Tag reader + 10 books to donate to your local library.
