10) Because he's tired of having to read the subtitles to know what's going on in the movie.
11) Because the instructor is good-looking.
12) His best friend bet him $50 that he couldn't have a conversation with the pretty girl who works at the diner.

I love the fact that so much of learning a new language is to do with the other sex.
Short, succinct and says a lot.
My Dad's lead in French was the opposite - he got an F. He and the teacher came to a mutal agreement that he should spend their French lessons taking out the bin ... mutually beneficial to both I was told!
And I love hose 2008 glasses on your girls - they are so gorgeous.
given that we all have to have some attributes to attract the opposite sex...I guess it widens the net considerably if we can practice cheesy lines on more people...ergo learn another language and widen youtarget audience..Cantonese next then!
